The Pronexus Application Console acts as a common master program for a group of slave applications. It is written in Visual Basic 6 using VBVoice 5.0 (or higher). The Application Console server runs on Windows NT 4 and Windows 2000/XP, and requires a VBVoice supported voice card.
In order for the Application Console to operate, a VBVoice arbiter must be running on the network with the slave applications configured to use that arbiter. The arbiter does not need to be running on the Application Console server.
The Application Console uses an MS Access-based database, but could also use any ODBC compatible database with a table structure identical to that described under database environment.
Reports created by the Application Console are HTML based and require a web browser in order to be rendered.
Note: The Application Console server must host sufficient telephony resources to adequately supply its slave applications.
