The Nuance engine takes advantage of Continuous Speech Processing (CSP) technology, which is now available on Dialogic JCT cards (e.g.: D/480JCT-2T1), or DM3 cards.
CSP technology lets you off-load CPU-intensive operations, like end-pointing or echo cancellation from the host to the card, which improves system performance and recognition accuracy. It also eliminates the need for any additional DSP resource cards, such as the Antares card required by earlier versions of Nuance.
The Nuance engine works with both CSP and non-CSP cards (i.e. the older non-JCT series or JCT cards, but not CSP enabled). However, on non-CSP cards two voice resources are required on every channel: one for speech recognition and one for paying prompts. Doubling the number of voice resources increases the cost of Dialogic hardware and may require installing additional cards.
Learn more about CSP by referring to the Dialogic web site and search the on-line documentation for the Continuous Speech Processing Software Reference.
