Intel HMP Support Limitations

VBVoice 8 supports only Dialogic (Intel) HMP 3.0 (SU 338).

Not all VBVoice features, properties, and methods are supported in HMP. There are also restrictions with respect to text-to-speech engines and voice file formats.

Features Not Supported

• Running multiple VBVoice master applications on the same machine

• If multiple applications are required, use VBVoice modularity functionality

• D42 control

• Ring control

• Composite EXE

Text-to-Speech Engine Restrictions

TTS support with HMP is restricted to the following engines:

• Speechify 2.6

• Scansoft RS Telecom 4.0

• MRCP

Voice File Formats Restrictions

Support of voice file formats with HMP is restricted to the following:

• A-law, Mu-law

• 6KHz, 8KHz

• 4 or 8 bits / sample
