After installing all hardware and software components of your TAPI Service Provider, you must select the TAPI lines to be used by VBVoice. A computer typically has TAPI lines, such as NDPROXY that are not used by VBVoice.
1. Start the TAPI Line Mapper utility from the Start / Programs / Pronexus / VBVoice menu
It displays all the TAPI lines on your machine
2. For each line you want to use, click on its check box to select it
3. Finish by clicking OK
This saves your selection to VBVoice.INI
The selected TAPI lines can now be used in VBVoice applications. Channel 1 is used for the first TAPI line, channel 2 for the next TAPI line, and so on.
NOTE: TAPI lines are identified by their index (their position in the list box in TAPI Line Mapper). If you later add or remove TAPI lines from your machine, even ones not being used by VBVoice, the index of each TAPI line may change. It is then necessary to re-run TAPI Line Mapper in order to update VBVoice.INI.
