About Third-Party Components

VBVoice uses voice cards to connect to the telephony network (PSTN). Currently, VBVoice supports cards from Dialogic.

VBVoicecan also run on top of TAPI and the Voice Card Simulator, a software tool from Pronexus that simulates operation of telephony hardware using a computer keyboard, a sound card, and speakers.

VBVoice also integrates different speech recognition (ASR) and text-to-speech (TTS) engines from: Nuance (RealSpeak), Speechify, and MRCP servers.

All of these engines have different hardware requirements that you must meet before they can function properly. For information about which engines are compatible with your voicecard, contact Pronexus Sales.
