The Remote control is used in a VBVoice call-flow. It allows voice applications to interact with client workstations during a voice call.
EXAMPLE |
An incoming call may be routed through a Remote control to allow a screen pop to appear on a client workstation providing information about that caller. At the client workstation, instructions can be given to the voice system to route the call to an appropriate extension, or to redirect the call within the IVR system. |
The AgentX Control is a stand-alone control that is used by the client or server applications and that can exchange data with other instances of AgentX and Remote controls on the network. It is used to allow different applications to communicate with each other.
The Conversation object provides the underlying mechanism for interaction with the TCP/IP messaging layer. These objects are used both by the AgentX and Remote controls, and can be used directly from Visual Basic where necessary.
