Pronexus recommends these minimum system requirements for running VBVoice:
Pentium III 800 MHz processor or equivalent with 512 MB RAM.
Windows 2000/XP.
Visual Basic 6.0 (Standard or Professional edition), Visual Studio .NET 2003, Visual Studio 2005 (note that Visual Studio 2002 is not supported)
The recommended requirements are:
Pentium IV 2.0 GHz or higher
2.0 GB of RAM
VB 6.0 with SP 5 or Visual Studio 2005
For an HMP installation of VBVoice, the requirements are:
Pentium IV, 2.8 GHz processor, minimum 1 GB RAM
Windows XP SP2 or Windows 2003 Server, Standard or Enterprise version, SP1
Visual Basic 6.0 (Standard or Professional edition), Visual Studio .NET 2003, Visual Studio 2005
Actual requirements may vary depending on the number of voice and fax lines, and database requirements.
The following software is required before installing the Speech Application SDK (SASDK):
Latest service pack for the appropriate operating system
Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 or later
Internet Information Services (IIS)
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1
ASP .NET v1.1
Microsoft Enterprise Instrumentation Framework
Refer to Microsoft Speech Application SDK documentation for instructions on its installation.
The Pronexus Runtime Manager (RTM) manages design-time and runtime licenses for VBVoice. The RTM is run on a local area network (LAN) and manages the different licenses of VBVoice on computers running on the network. Read more about the RTM and how to install it.
Please also pay strict attention to the RTM recommendations about auto-saving projects and working in evaluation mode.
Each voice card has different requirements for driver installation and system resources, such as interrupts, I/O ports, and memory addresses. Each voice card also has utilities specific to that card; for example, most have a utility to learn call progress tones.
